The Department of Education is currently conducting a Primary School Survey that will determine the future provision of Primary Schools and crucially could lead to lasting changes in your school. In simple, direct terms, you are being asked if you want your school to stay a Catholic school or if you want that to change. Don’t leave it to others, have your say before 16 December 2025

CHRISTMAS EVENTS IN THE NIRE
Sunday, December 7th: The Annual Nire Parish Christmas Fair. 2-5pm in the Church Hall.
Monday, December 8th: Carol Service followed by Mass at 7pm. Nire Church Choir and Nire Junior Choir and Musicians
NEWCASTLE MEN’S SHED
A Church Gate Collection will take place at Ardfinnan, Newcastle, Grange, Ballybacon and Fourmilewater Churches on Saturday next 13th and Sunday 14th December.
All proceeds will go towards the setting up of Newcastle Men’s Shed which will cater for all men in the above areas. All monies received will be greatly appreciated and help us on our journey with setting up this Group in our locality.

Everyone is welcome to come and spend some time in quiet prayer and adoration.
GAZA FUNDRAISER
Ballymacarbry Ladies Football Club will hold a coffee morning to raise funds for Medecins San Frontieres / Doctors Without Borders on Sunday 14th Dec in Ballymacarbry Community Centre. The funds raised will go towards the vital work they are carrying out in Gaza. Please come along for a cuppa and a chat in the lead up to Christmas and make a small donation to this great cause.
CHRISTMAS CRAFT FAIR
Newcastle Community Hall this Sunday 7th Dec 11am to 4pm. All proceeds to Down Syndrome Ireland Tipperary Branch and Meitheal 21 – Free entry and all welcome.
