FIRST HOLY COMMUNIONS
CONGRATULATIONS to the boys and girls in the Nire and Touraneena parishes who celebrated their First Holy Communion’s recently.
We look forward to celebrating First Holy communions as well in Grange and Ardfinnan next weekend.
We pray that as they receive the Lord in Holy Communion they will continue to Grow in Love with the Lord beside them.
SACRISTANS COLLECTION
Our sacristans across all our churches do so much, often behind the scenes all on a voluntary basis, to keep our churches open and set up for Masses, services among so many other things.
Once a year we have the opportunity to say ‘thank you’ to them for the remarkable service they do for the parishes and assist the priests in so many ways.
The Sacristans Collection takes place next weekend. Envelopes are in the weekly boxes of envelopes, or spare envelopes are in the church porches.
Thank you in advance for showing your gratitude to our sacristans who play such a vital and important role across all our churches.
MASS TO MARK THE 25th ANNIVERSARY OF ORDINATION OF THE LATE FR COLM O’BRIEN
This year marks the 25th Anniversary of the Ordination to the Priesthood of a remarkable, humble, prayerful and genuine priest who sadly, died at the young age of 36 in 2009 after serving as curate in both SS Peter & Paul’s Clonmel and Holy Cross Tramore.
A way of celebrating and thanking God for Fr Colm’s life and priesthood, Bishop Cullinan will celebrate a Mass of Thanksgiving for the Priesthood of Fr Colm, on what would have been his 25th Anniversary, on Tuesday 3rd June at 7.30pm in St Pauls Church, Waterford. Everyone is most welcome to come to the Mass and give thanks to God for the impact Fr Colm made in those years, and to pray for the happy repose of his soul.

Our parishes were involved in an article about parish life in Ireland. The article is available in this weeks Irish Catholic. Fr Michael also has a separate article in next week’s edition reflecting on ministry at this time. Copies are available in the porches, and the suggested €3 can be put into any of the shrines.
ROSARY RALLY takes place in the Kickham Plaza Clonmel on Saturday 24th May at 4pm.
BALLYMACARBRY GROTTO
The Rosary will be prayed every Thursday evening in May at the Grotto beginning at 7.30pm.
Everyone is most welcome.
