THE ENGLISH FAMILY – WATERFORD
Our thoughts and prayers are very much with the English family, as we remember those killed and injured in the terrible act of violence in our diocese. We remember the communities and parishes affected and offer our prayers for all affected in this senseless act.
May Our Lady, Queen of Ireland grant peace to all.

FR FRANCIS LLOYD, R.I.P.
We were deeply saddened across the parish and diocese at the sudden death of Fr. Frankie, who through his ministry served as a priest in Kilmacthomas, Touraneena & The Nire, Cappoquin, St Paul’s Waterford and becoming Parish Priest in Newcastle / Fourmilewater in 2006 retiring on health grounds in 2008.
“Well done, good and faithful servant”.
May He rest in Peace –

MISSION SUNDAY
World Mission Sunday is the Holy Father’s annual appeal for spiritual and financial support so that the life-giving work of overseas mission and missionaries can continue. It always falls on the second last Sunday in October, meaning this year it will be celebrated over this weekend.
The theme for this year’s celebration of Mission Sunday is: “One in Christ, United in Mission”
See poster along with envelopes in the porches and in the weekly collection boxes. Thank you again for your usual support for the missions every year.

PRAYERS FOR POPE LEO XIV’S RECOVERY
We keep our Holy Father, Pope Leo XIV, very much in our thoughts and prayers following reports of his surgery and cancer diagnosis. We pray that his time in hospital will be one of healing, rest and recovery.
May the Lord grant him strength, comfort and peace in the days ahead.
Mary, Our Mother of Perpetual Help, intercede for him and pray for him.

Ardfinnan/Ballybacon/Grange: €1,045
Newcastle/Fourmilewater: €615
The Nire: €245 Touraneena: €323

SACRAMENTAL PREPERATION MASSES
This weekend in Newcastle, Ardfinnan, Fourmilewater and Grange, our 6th Class students and their families will be taking part in the Mass and forms part of their preparation to receive the sacrament of Confirmation next spring.
We pray for all those who are to receive these sacraments and their families.

GRANGE ANNUAL WINTER CRAFT MARKET will be held on Sunday 15th November from 11am to 1pm in Grange Community Hall. All Welcome!

THE IRISH NATIONAL SYNODAL ASSEMBLY
Please Pray for the National Synodal Assembly
As this weekend, the Irish Church will gather in Gormanston, Co. Meath, for the National Synodal Assembly — an important moment as we continue our journey towards a more synodal and missionary Church.
The Assembly’s Working Document, “Is not this what God asks of you?”, reflects the voices, hopes, concerns and discernment of people and communities from across the Church in Ireland returning to the question that has accompanied our Synodal Pathway: “What does God want from the Church in Ireland at this time?”
Please keep all delegates, our parishes and the whole Church in Ireland in your prayers as this important next phase begins.
