FEASTS THIS WEEK
While not celebrated officially – 4th October is the 800th Anniversary and the Feast Day of St Francis of Assisi.
Pope Leo declared this year as a special Jubilee for pilgrims in Assisi, and many thousands where in Assisi earlier this year to venerate the relics of the saint.
Lord, make me an instrument of your peace.
Where there is hatred, let me sow love;
Where there is injury, pardon;
Where there is doubt, faith;
Where there is despair, hope;
Where there is darkness, light;
Where there is sadness, joy.
