PETERS PENCE / DIOCESEAN NEEDS
On June 28 – the Sunday before the liturgical feast of Saints Peter and Paul – the traditional Peter’s Pence collection takes place. This is a concrete way to support the Holy Father in his mission of service to the universal Church.
Donating to Peter’s Pence is a concrete gesture of communion with the Holy Father and of solidarity with his mission to bring the Gospel throughout the world and assists the
Holy Father in many initiatives for the universal church, as well as supporting our own local diocesan initiatives which have been flourishing in recent years.
As every year, every offering – large or small – will support the Holy Father in his ministry and in his charitable activities in response to emergencies and needs around the world.
Envelopes are in the weekly box, or extra envelopes are in all church porches.

Celebrating the 6th World Day for Grandparents and the Elderly. Sunday 26th July 2026 at Knock Shrine. Chief Celebrant Archbishop Eamon Martin. Commencing at 2.30pm with the anointing of the sick. A day of grace and blessing for the whole family as we honour grandparents and the elderly.
