THE YEAR OF THE JUBILEE 2025:
PILGRIMS OF HOPE
The 2025 Jubilee will officially open on December 24, 2024 at 7pm, with the rite of Opening of the Holy Door of the Papal Basilica of St. Peter by the Holy Father.
To join in this great event every parish will receive the Jubilee logo, which will be displayed on the church door along with prayer cards available this weekend. . On 29 December in each diocese, bishops in Ireland will celebrate Mass as the solemn opening of the Holy Year, and thereafter events will be organised locally.
CHRISTMAS PRIESTS COLLECTION
The Christmas Collection for the support of your priests takes place over the Christmas Period. As you know, all parishes now financially support their own local priests in these collections and we thank you in advance for your marvellous support over the years. Envelopes are available in the church porches and in the weekly box of envelopes. Thanks you again for your support to us all.
GRANGE CHRISTMAS TREE
The Christmas lights and the Remembrance Tree have been put up by the Development Association in front of Grange church. You are invited to tie a ribbon or a small decoration on the tree in memory of loved ones who are no longer with us.
NEWCASTLE & FOURMILEWATER PARISH Come along for a ‘Cuppa and Chat’ with a social gathering after Mass on 29th December (Holy Family Sunday) in Ballymacarbry Community Centre after 9am Mass. Everyone welcome! Please spread the word.
