REFLECTION FOR THIS SUNDAY
The timeless truth of today’s Gospel lies in the contrast between different types of soil. Jesus warns that the seed of faith can easily be snatched away by distraction, choked by worldly anxieties, or withered by a lack of spiritual depth. Yet, when we allow ourselves to slow down, create space for quiet reflection, and nourish our faith with an open mind, our hearts become like rich soil. By intentionally making time for simple practices like scripture reading, silent prayer, or gratitude, we soften our inner ground. This intentional openness allows God’s grace to settle deep within us, ultimately transforming our everyday lives into a source of abundant, life-giving fruit.

NATIONAL GRANDPARENTS PILGRIMAGE TO KNOCK, 26 JULY
Celebrating the 6th World Day for Grandparents and the Elderly. Sunday 26th July 2026 at Knock Shrine. Chief Celebrant Archbishop Eamon Martin. Commencing at 2.30pm with the anointing of the sick. A day of grace and blessing for the whole family as we honour grandparents and the elderly.
